Undeterred by the supposed slowing down in the EV market, the BMW team have been quick to update their successful Gran Coupe after 3 years of production. The key changes to the new i4 includes:

•  Refreshed exterior;
•  Revised headlights;
•  Optional laserlights ;
•  Fresh trim elements; and
• New seat coverings.

If you head to the BMW manufacturer website then you will note that the team have put in place some basic configurators to review the changes on the new EV from BMW. The new headlights along with a new front grille (silver honeycomb), make this are more sporty and distance car in the market.

Indeed the new M model is one of the most aggressive EVs you can lease in 2024, with greater M driving features both in terms of aesthetics and technology. But in-keeping with the last model, the i4 will still feature in just 3 specifications:

But that isn’t to say a luxury experience isn’t available; the optional Luxury Instrument Panel providers a digital yet attractive driver experience.

The new lightweight M Perform Tex interior is a more sporty interior. And the Crafter Clarity Interior Elements adds that quintessential aspect of sparkle to your interior, along with the new M Sport Leather steering wheel.

Technology is not something which is missing on the 24’ model, with the new start screen based on the BMW Operating 8.5 - a curved display for the driver and passenger. Driver convenience via the Driving Assistant Professional allows for semi-autonomous driving and with the Parking Assistant Plus you have a 3D view of surroundings for an all-round view.

The BMW Digital Key means you can unlock or start your key via your mobile phone too (including a BMW app to monitor your vehicle when out about). “All the driving pleasure. 100% electric” concludes the BMW team. And you can see why.

But when is it available? The UK’s dealerships are currently selling their existing stock in view of the new model coming. •  I4 eDrive 40 - with a 81 kWh usable lithium-ion battery this will offer 0 – 62 times of 5.6 seconds, 118 mph top speeds and 250 kW (or 335 hp). Expect a combined winter range of 265 miles with warmer weather allowing for 370 miles - a combined range of 320 miles. On charging, the 11 kW AC max will allow 8 hour and 45 minute 0 – 100% charging times with the 207kW DC maximum allowing 31 minute 10 – 80% times. This has a fuel equivalent of 160mpg.
