Leasing an Abarth 600e in the UK

The Abarth team are the equivalent of Alpine to Renault or Brabus to Mercedes / Smart; they are a vehicle modifier and performance partner to the Italian manufacturer – Fiat. The Abarth group is now owned by the Stellantis conglomerate, much like Fiat, but this hasn’t altered their enthusiasm to improving and modernising vehicles in an all-electric age. Having launched their Abarth 500 EV hatch in 2023, there will now be a “post-modern” derivative to Fiat’s new 600e, a smaller SUV option.

The new Fiat 600e, described as the Italian Upgrade, is a more functional and practical family-focused option to the 500e city-car. In moving to Abarth, the “most-powerful” derivative to date will benefit from the House of Scorpion. Sharp and aggressive designs will be coupled with track performance courtesy of the Stellantis Motorsport team. Much like the upcoming Alpine A290, MG4 xPower and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the Abarth 600 marks an age of truly exhilarating vehicles. The old adage of EVs being boring is now a thing of the past.

What options of Abarth will be available?

So far two key options are confirmed with:

  • Turismo – starting from £37,000, this will include LED daytime lights, LED rear lights, 20” alloys, 7” digital instrument cluster, 10.25” central screen, attention assist, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, Abarth driving modes, unique sports bumper, aero spoiler, Sabelt sports seats with integrated headrests, Alcantara steering wheel, navigation, wireless CarPlay and Connect PLUS for vehicle management; and
  • Scorpionissima – starting from £42,000, this will add alcantara seats, Lateral stickers and signature, Scorpion Design Pack – 6-way power seats, aluminium pedals, velour floor mats, kickplate, privacy glass, ambient lights and glossy black body kit, Winter Pack  - heated front seats and windshield, Tech Pack – power folding mirrors, lane centring, rear view camera, urban blind spot, wireless charging, sound generator and automatic high beam assist.

In terms of colours, the Turismo is available in Shock Orange, Venom Black, Antidote White and Acid Green and the Scorpionissima in Hypnotic Purple and Acid Green.

But how does the new 600e Abarth perform – is it really a performance EV?

  •  Turismo – this has a usable battery of 50.8 kWh which offers 175 kW (235hp), top speeds of 124 mph and 0-62 times of 6.2 seconds. Real-world ranges suggest a combined 145 miles in colder weather with warmer temperatures to allow for 195 miles (on a full charge) - combined overall at 170 miles. The 11kW AC allows for 0-100% charging times of 5 hour and 30 minutes with the 100 kW DC enabling 10-80% in 28 minutes. It has a 135 mpg equivalent, 360L cargo volume but no towing capacity has been announced (Braked and Unbraked). There is no heat pump on this EV. Bidirectional charging has not been confirmed; and
  •  Scorpionissima – this has a usable battery of 50.8 kWh which offers 207 kW (278hp), top speeds of 124 mph and 0-62 times of 5.9 seconds. There is no denying that this new SUV is aesthetically proficient and performance-centric but moving into the electric lifestyle should be handled carefully and diligently to ensure the best decision is reached.

This is why our e-car lease website, and Lythium customer portal, will highlight the key aspects. Elements like the real-world range, charging times, charging cables, charge points, charge point location, insurance and servicing / tyres are set out. If you, or the fleet manager, are time restricted just use our EV factsheet – the EVC™ for an overview.
