Lease an Alfa Romeo Junior Electric in the UK

The Italian brand, Alfa Romeo, have been remarkably quiet in the electric car market. And with a reputation for quality and luxury sports cars, on the surface it may have been thought that there was a reticence to join the EV revolution.

However, with the group now owned by the Stellantis conglomerate, the economies of scale and RnD is now in place to put a real buzz into the Alfa product line-up. And for 2024, the group will be releasing their first all-electric innovation to the market in the shape of a small SUV – the Junior EV.

While originally called the Milano, because this vehicle is produced by the FCA engineers in Poland, the Italian Government put some pressure on the brand to amend this reference and the Junior was born.

“Dare to be electric” says the website; a direct alternative to the MiTo and Giulietta in the combustion world, this SUV will be similar to the already popular Peugeot e2008, Vauxhall Mokka-e and Jeep Avenger electric product which are available on a similar platform.
The Junior will be coming to the UK in three formats including:

  •  Elettrica – this will include 18” alloys, full LED headlights, climate control and two separate 10.25” digital screens;
  • Elettrica Speciale – this will include 18” alloys, black body-kit and Arese Red details, Spiga interiors with electric seats and privacy glass; and
  •  Veloce -  this will include 20” alloys, sports suspension, slip differential, Spiga interiors and black body-kit.

And as part of creating the ultimate experience, customers will be able to add some great packs including:

  • Technology Pack – cutting-edge technology to enhance connectivity and road comfort;
  •  Premium Pack – for those who want elegance and sophistication; and
  • Sports Pack – a precision and aesthetics feature focused on making your Junior the ultimate machine.

The two battery option will perform as per the below:

  •  Standard Option - The FWD SUV option will have a 50.8 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 9.0 seconds, 93 mph top speeds and 115 kW (or 154hp). Expect a cold weather range of around 165 miles with warmed weather allowing for 225 miles – a combined range of around 195 miles on a full charge. On charging, the 11 kW AC max will allow 5 hour and 30 min 0 – 100% charging times with the 100 kW DC maximum allowing 26 minute 10 – 80% times. This has fuel equivalent of 155 mpg. This will have no Bidirectional charging capabilities. Nor can it tow; and,
  •  Veloce - The FWD SUV option will have a 50.8 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 6.0 seconds, 93 mph top speeds and 176 kW (or 236hp).
