Lease an Audi A6 e-tron in the UK

The Audi group are becoming synonymous with battery technology. In pure electric, or fully electric format, their “e-tron” range  has now grown considerably with performance / sports cars (GT), small SUVS (Q4), medium SUVs (Q6) and big SUVs (Q8) all now readily available for the UK’s leasing market to enjoy.

The German team have continued to build upon this repertoire by launching yet another product in the form of the A6 e-tron family. Launching in both Sportback and Estate format, the electrifying experience will be made available for those personal or business lease customers who need something a little different.

While the UK is seemingly an SUV centric automotive nation, this is not the only type of car which customers require. In particular, there has been a noticeable lack of estate vehicles in the electric market with the MG5 leading the way for many years. Only in the last 12 months has the BMW i5 Tourer and VW ID.7 Tourer arrived into the mix. And so an Avant in the electric A6 is a welcome addition, as more company car drivers are moving into lithium tech plus the ZEV Mandate starts to have a significant impact in the UK. However, the Sportback option is not an unwelcome product either.

While the A6 EV is still a little early into production, we do know that they will be launching the following specifications:

  • Sport;
  •  S Line;
  •  Edition 1; and
  •  S6.

Each line will benefit from the Sound and Vision Pack (for £3,195) which includes Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System with headrest speakers, Augmented reality head-up display, Ambient lighting package plus with dynamic communication light and USB interfaces with higher charging capacity.

The Sound & Vision Pack Pro (for £5,495) includes the panoramic glass sunroof with switchable transparency and virtual folding mirrors. The latter is available only on the Edition 1.
Colour choices include Magnetic Grey, Glacier White, Typhoon Grey, Mythos Black, Plasma Blue and Malpelo Blue. The Daytona Grey and Siam beige are bespoke colours to S Line and S models.

But how will the new A6 e-tron Sportback electric perform?

There will be two battery configurations (both with 800v high voltage systems) to choose from including:

  •  A6 Sportback e-tron performance - (from £68,000) this RWD SUV will have a 94.9 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 5.4 seconds, 130 mph top speeds and 280kW (or 375hp). On charging, the 11 kW AC max will allow 10 hour and 15 min 0 – 100% charging times with the 270 kW DC maximum allowing 21 minute 10 – 80% times. A cargo volume of 502L is available with this car.
