The new EV will be built on the MEB platform from VW. This same platform is being used by the likes of the Audi Q4 e-tron, Cupra Born, Skoda Enyaq and VW ID 4/5/7. The problem with the WLTP testing, is that it is very one-dimensional and does not always reflect how you will drive in the real world. Our data partners therefore use a more achievable analysis. For example, the Explorer EV Extended range will (on a full charge)  deliver 190 miles on a motorway in colder weather, with this increasing to 260 miles for urban and city driving. In warmer weather, this increases to 245 miles on a motorway and 390 miles in city driving
