How much is a Ford Mach-E Electric to lease?
While Ford are commonly referred to as a cost-effective manufacturer, with their combustion product being some of the UK’s best-selling cars and vans, their EV offering is not so cheap in comparison. With the Mach-E costing somewhere between £42,000 - £67,000, expect contract hire rentals of around £400 - £700 per month. This will always depend on the model chosen (plus the contract required). However, do not add this to your list if you are looking for an affordable EV to lease.

Is a Ford Mach-E Electric a good car to lease?
Ford were surprisingly slow to bring out their pure-electric offering and while the decision to bring out a more luxury SUV / Crossover was perhaps a positive one for growing their brand, the price tag on the Mach-E does mean that customers will really expect that the product delivers. This will effectively be competing against the Tesla Model Y, VW ID.5 and the Skoda Enyaq Coupe. While early teething problems with the battery tech led to recalls and delays, the product is now in full flow and is getting some positive response from the automotive press. One thing for certain is that the car looks great and the design engineering team have done a fantastic job. But ultimately the discerning UK customer will be utilising test-drives and in-depth analysis.

Is a Ford Mach-E electric lease right for me or the business?
If you are looking for a visually exciting EV, coupled with the interior familiarity which Ford brings, then you won’t be disappointed with the Mach-E. And the introduction of the GT performance EV, which is definitely worth the investment, is likely to quench the thirsts of even the most hardened petrolheads (GT adds 20” alloys, wheel lip mouldings, black door cladding, performance seats, GT scuff plates and MagneRide suspension). However, understanding if the Ford EV is right for you or the business involves taking into account the nature of contract hire / leasing (a long-term usership product) and the EV lifestyle. For example, home and workplace charging infrastructure, charging times and charge points along your regular commutes will help ascertain if this really is the best car. Just because a Ford EV is so cost-effective on a business lease or via a Salary Sacrifice scheme doesn’t mean you should choose it.

Where do I find the best Ford Mach-E lease deals in the UK?
Many of the e-car lease Mach-E electric car leasing deals are available on our pricing partners websites like AutoLeaseCompare, CarWow, LeaseFetcher and LeaseLoco. However, we also understand that customers need to visit their local Ford dealership experts to test-drive the product and procure comparable hire purchase and personal contract purchase quotations. Remember that contract hire is a usership product.

What is the cheapest Ford Mach-E Electric leasing option?
At the time of writing, the cheapest Ford EV to lease is the Estate 198kW Standard Range 70kWh RWD 5dr Auto. However, with a price of over £40,000 for a new car, the e-car lease team would not suggest this is a cheap car. Use the deal configurator on our bespoke electric car website to get an instant price – alter the term, annual mileage and initial rental / deposit to procure the best deal on the Mach-E.

What is the range of an electric Ford Mach-E?

How far the Mach-E can travel on a full charge will be crucial to most of our customers. The e-car lease team do stress that you use the “Living with …” tools from our Lythium partners, which helps you, the fleet manager or directors understand what to expect from the new Ford. You will note the different ranges shown on the e-car lease website which are taking into account weather, driving style and driver behaviour. Please see the combined real-world ranges below:

• A 70 kWh 198 kW RWD – 215 miles
• A 70 kWh 198 kW AWD – 205 miles
• An 88 kWh 216 kW RWD - 270 miles
• An 88 kWh 258 kW AWD – 260 miles
• A 91 kWh 358 kW AWD – 255 miles

Can you tow with a Ford Mach-E?
Yes - you can purchase a detachable tow bar (with electrical kit and trailer rear module) from Ford. This currently costs just under £550.

What is the towing capacity of the Ford Mach-E?
We expect many customers to utilise the bigger battery and AWD model (the 91 kWh ER AWD) . This EV has a towing capacity of 750kg (unbraked) and 1000kg (braked).

What is the MPG of the Ford Mach-E?
This vehicle’s fuel equivalent will depend on the model chosen. For example the SR RWD has a vehicle fuel equivalent of 127mpg  whereas the ER AWD has a vehicle fuel equivalent of 120mpg
