Leasing a Maserati GranTurismo Electric in the UK

The term Folgore is probably not yet that well known to the UK leasing community. But it will be shortly. Maserati are now bringing their Italian flair, and luxury, to the UK’s electric car market. One of their first innovations to arrive is the self-proclaimed “Pure Luxury. Pure Performance. Pure Maserati” GranTurismo.

An AWD Coupe, this EV supercar has been developed with Formula-E technology, such as silicon carbide inverters for better energy flow and efficiency. Add to that the 800-volt battery, along with three 300kW magnet motors, and you have the makings of one of the best new options for 2024 / 2025.

The GranTurismo has been designed to be more than just a car; it’s a true trend setter. The specific front splitters and diffusers are designed to improve efficiency with the 20” or 21” diamond cut alloys poised to make your EV look incredible.

The car will have specific electric design elements with the Trident emblem in copper, electric blue side vents and ECONUL regenerated nylon fibre interior. If bespoke is what you need, then you will be content to know that you can choose between light and dark interior configurations. And yet this will still be a digital master class with the 12.3” central screen set to run the car and act as a hub for the driver.

As standard (from around £180,000) the vehicle will look pretty special. And personalisation is now available at the Maserati website - so that you can create the ultimate car. Choose between a litany of colours including the Grigio Cangiante from £27,000. Enjoy a mix of 20 and 21” alloy options, like the £3,000 Astreo Design alloys. Inside consider adding the Trident on the headrest or carbon macrotwill trim. A whole host of packages are available such as:

• ADAS Base Package – adaptive cruise control, active lane management, blind spot, surround view camera, drowsy driver detection and auto-dimming / heated sideview mirrors;
• ADAS Package Level 2 – speed assist, active driving assist, traffic sign recognition, collision assist;
• Tech Assistance Package - HUD and frameless digital mirrors; and
• Comfort Package - kick sensor and HomeLink sensor.

Or consider options like privacy glass, the Sonus faber premium sound system, ventilated seats and alcantara headlining. By making your GranTurismo EV bespoke, expect to pay around £200,000 for the completed version.

This AWD Coupe will have an 83 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 2.7 seconds, 199 mph top speeds and 560 kW (or 751hp). Expect a combined winter range of 220 miles with warmer weather allowing for 295 miles. On charging, the 22 kW AC max will allow 4 hour and 30 min 0 – 100% charging times with the 270 kW DC maximum allowing 18 minute 10 – 80% times.

A cargo volume of 270L is available with this car. It has a vehicle fuel equivalent of 138mpg. You cannot tow with this EV. It also has no V2L or V2G capabilities (so far).
