Leasing a Mini Countryman Electric in the UK

The BMW / Mini Group have been remarkably busy during August and September of 2023, announcing some incredible investment into UK’s green economy; a new £600m Mini electric factory in Oxford, a new Mini Cooper Electric E and SE plus a new SUV EV in the form of the Mini Countryman.

While this is a vehicle which many leasing customers will be aware of, this has only been a combustion option albeit with some plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) forming part of the model line-up.
Small to medium SUVs are a consistently popular vehicle for the UK, offering aesthetics, practicality and functionality to most drivers, especially families.

As at August 2023, 7 out of 10 of the best-selling cars in the UK are SUVs (in some form). So, the addition of the Countryman is welcome news to Mini fans, who have only had the ability to enjoy a hatchback since 2019. And with a series of upgrades and modernisation, you can clearly see that Mini are keen to earn some market share within the retail and fleet markets.

What do MINI say about their new all-electric SUV? In terms of exterior, the group have created more powerful and bolder designs which exude confidence. This includes octagonal grille, increased length and width, lighter alloy wheels, piano black roof and puddle lights.

Choose from the Classic, Exclusive and Sport, each with incremental “Levels” to ensure you get the perfect option. Interiors will be wholly customisable, led by the OLED circular touchscreen for operating the vehicle. Bespoke features like the dashboard, steering wheel and seat upholstery allow a unique experience.

Also note the go-kart steering wheel, innovative interior materials and host of digital features (which the group call the Mini Moments). But going up against all-electric SUVS like the BYD ATTO 3, Volvo XC40, VW ID.4. MG ZS and Kia Niro EV is no easy task.t going up against all-electric SUVS like the BYD ATTO 3, Volvo XC40, VW ID.4. The Mini SUV is a 2nd generation option for the BMW group so there is much expected from the improved battery and performance. While the new SUV looks great, and no doubt offers specification and technology which a 2023 / 2024 customer expects, we do implore you to receive the key details first.
