Jeep car leasing
Does Jeep really make electric vehicles? With roots stemming from WW2 Jeeps, the American-based automotive manufacturer is a brand effectively considered as the true rugged petrol SUV option, with a mix of crossovers, luxury and true off-road type vehicles.
And while the Jeep brand was subsequently owned and operated by Chrysler (since 1987), the manufacturer now forms part of Stellantis which is responsible for brands like Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Fiat, Maserati, Peugeot and Vauxhall. The Stellantis Group are one of the world’s leading, and biggest, vehicle producers but with a clear aim to bring about worldwide electrified transport solutions. And this now includes the affable Jeep brand.
Moving to electric is now more possible for many manufacturers, with a whole host of Chinese battery suppliers able to supply the lithium-ion tech to power the necessary product. And consumers, fleets and salary sacrifice markets in the UK are now more attune to all-electric transport, with a host of tax saving and Whole of Life cost benefits to be enjoyed in making the transition.
With ever-improving charging infrastructure in the UK, coupled with affordable charge points at home and competitive overnight charging tariffs, Jeep would be remiss in not offering their popular, yet rugged, SUV solutions in a battery electric format.
Character, or “Concentrated Freedom” as Jeep put it, is what separates their BEV option from the other comparable cars. In the UK, both personal and business lease customers seem somewhat fixed on the joys of all-electric SUV choices, so the ability to enjoy zero-emission driving with the quirky ruggedness of the Jeep brand seems a positive mix. Plus, the Stellantis economies of scale brings about cost-effective vehicle and battery production; many EVs within the group will share a similar platform, it is more of a question of aesthetics and ergonomics as to which is the best for you or the business.
The only electric SUV will be the Jeep Avenger, which is available on the e-car website as a leasing deal. A mid-sized SUV, customers looking at the Avenger will be comparing this to the Vauxhall Mokka-e, the revised Hyundai Kona Electric and the Peugeot e-2008. Small electric SUVs, because of their price and practicality, are particularly key to UK lease customers.
But the Avenger may not be the only option, with the US market set to enjoy the Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0, a new, and bigger, SUV option. We may even see a fully-electric Grand Cherokee enter the luxury segment of the UK’s market.
At the time of writing, the only option being available is the small SUV Avenger. With the Launch Edition starting from £35,000, expect leasing deals to be around £325 - £475 per month. Our amazing instant quote calculator allows you build your perfect PCH or BCH arrangement. If a Wrangler or Grand Cherokee EV does arise then expect price tags of £50,000 to £60,000. For more information, head to the Jeep website .
Moving to an electric car is more than just the price, aesthetics and performance. Whether you are a personal or business lease customer, you do need to take into account the obligations and consideration of electrification. While an all-electric Jeep will provide you with an enjoyable driving experience, and potentially huge company car tax savings, there are corresponding elements you need to consider.
Using the e-car lease website is the perfect way to procure your new Jeep EV with our “at a glance” and our “living with your …” tools available to you for free. These key metrics set out everything you need to know about the EV lifestyle with the real world range, battery, charging times, charge point locations, company car tax calculations, full charge cost and cost per mile all provided to you.
In addition, you will be sent our EVC™ (Electric Vehicle Certificate) which enables you or the business to quickly organise domestic and business charge points, motor insurance or the Zap Map Premium App. Our role is to make sure that our consumers, or businesses, get the right finance product and EV solution for their needs and requirements.
All of the latest Jeep electric leasing deals will be updated on our leading EV only website. However, if you want to build your perfect Jeep or even the upcoming Avenger , just send your completed configuration to the expert team here and we can supply a lease quote. Just to be clear, we offer personal, business and salary sacrifice leasing options.
To get an instant price, use our website to configure the right contract for you or the business. Simply select personal or business (the price is often the same, with the exception of Vat), decide on a contract length, initial rental and annual mileage plus let us know if you need maintenance to be added to the quote.
Our maintenance quotations will enable you to add the cost of all servicing, tyres and breakdown recovery for the duration of the term (but this is an additional cost). Our website also lets you look into a charge point solution too. Need more help or advice on electric Jeeps? Just call us on 01942 910 001 or email [email protected]
